When you are using DesktopMirror to synchronize information between Outlook and ACT!, including Contacts, Calendar, Tasks or Notes, the following fields will be synchronized:

Contacts Fields:

  • If the ACT! Contact has secondary address, it will sync with Outlook "Other" address.
Each address may contain the following information:

  • Business Phone Number
  • Home Phone Number
  • Mobile Phone Number
  • Other Phone Number

User Defined Fields DesktopMirror sync ACT! Contact user fields and Outlook Contact user defined fields.

And you may also setup the custom field mapping to customize the sync. Then you may use the custom (user defined) fields to store Outlook specific or ACT! specific information.

Calendar Fields:

The fields in the Calendar event synchronization are simpler, the following fields are synchronized:
  • Appointment or meeting subject.

  • Date and time information of the Calendar events.

  • All day event or not.

  • Location of the appointment or meeting.

  • Recurrence information. All recurrence patterns are supported, for example, daily, weekly, monthly by date, monthly by day, yearly, etc.

  • Reminder information.

  • Notes of the Calendar events.

Task Fields:

The fields in the Task item synchronization are also simpler than the Contact sync, the following fields are synchronized:
  • Subject of the Task item

  • Priority of the Task

  • Due Date

  • Status: Complete or not

  • Reminder information

  • Notes of the Task item

Notes Fields:

The note text information can be synchronized.
