How to Use BatchUpdater for Lotus Notes > Specify Update Options

In this step, you may specify the database file and login options in Lotus Notes.

    Lotus Notes Login Information

BatchUpdater for Lotus Notes needs the Lotus Notes login information to access the Lotus Notes database. Detail descriptions:

    • Notes Path:

The "Notes Path" field contains the full path of the executable notes.exe. Generally, it should be detected automatically by LN-CSV. LN-CSV uses these path to call IBM Lotus Notes API. If BatchUpdater for Lotus Notes didn't detect this field correctly, please browse to specify the correct Notes.exe path.

    • Sync Local Contacts DB

This field is to specify the full path of local Lotus Notes Contacts database to be loaded by BatchUpdater for Lotus Notes. The default Contacts database name is "names.nsf". Generally, this field will be detected automatically by BatchUpdater for Lotus Notes. If you are using a custom Contacts database or remote Contacts database, please specify the path by yourself.

    • Domino Server Name:

This field is the Domino Server name that your Lotus Notes connected to. If you only want to sync your local Contacts, you may leave this field empty. Otherwise, please specify the name of the Domino server. The server name may be specified as the fully qualified hierarchical name (such as CN=ServerC/OU=Operations/O=Acme), the abbreviated hierarchical name (such as ServerC/Operations/Acme), or by the common name (such as ServerC).

The common name format is recommended.

    • Your User Name and Password:

The Lotus Notes user name you will be synchronizing. And the Lotus Notes password of that user. If you choose to specify the mail database absolute path, the User Name field is optional.

    • User ID File

The user id file to be authorized to access Lotus Domino Server data. By default, the file under Notes data directory is used. However, you may specify other user id file if you need to access Server data as other users.

    • Specify Mail Database Absolute Path

This field is the full path of the mail database which contains the Lotus Notes Calendar information.

Generally, the format is in "[Server Name]!![Mail Database Name]" format. If you do not synchronize Calendar information, you may leave this field empty.

If you still have questions on the Lotus Notes options setup, please send e-mail to LivePIM technical support.
